Abstract

Digital transformation in academic administrative services requires information systems that are not only technically effective but also well-accepted by their users. At the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Universitas Nusa Cendana, the SISURAT application facilitates online submission and management of academic letters; however, its user acceptance has not been empirically examined. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived ease of use (PEOU), perceived usefulness (PU), and trust on students’ behavioral intention to use (BITU) SISURAT by employing a modified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). A quantitative survey design was used involving 126 active SISURAT users, and data were  analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that all hypotheses were supported: PEOU s ignificantly affects PU and BITU, PU significantly affects BITU, and trust significantly influences both PU and BITU. The R² values of 0.811 for PU and 0.705 for BITU demonstrate strong predictive power, with trust emerging as the most dominant predictor of usage intention. These findings suggest that SISURAT acceptance is driven by users’ perceptions of ease, usefulness, and trust, and they provide practical implications for improving academic administrative systems within higher education institutions.
